Chestnutt – Robert John (Herbie) – retired RUC G.C – 2nd January 2026, peacefully, at home, his loving family by his side, late of Shore Road Ballyhalbert. Beloved husband of Betty for more than 63 years, deeply loved daddy of Linda & Karl, highly respected father-in-law of Joanne, devoted and cherished granda of Georgia, Adrian and Carly. A Service of Thanksgiving for Herbie’s life will be held at 11.00 am on Monday 12th January 2026 in Adair Funeral Home, 78 Main Street, Ballywalter BT22 2PJ, followed by committal in Whitechurch Cemetery at 12 noon. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Herbie, if desired, may be made payable to Marie Curie directly below. Herbie will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.
